How frequently do you view video for analysis with Online Training?

With Online Training, we decided to limit video analysis for each individual pitcher to once per week and each individual hitter to twice per week. After the initial roll-out, we found two main negative repercussions of offering unlimited analysis based on athlete requests – Firstly, more frequent analysis misled athletes into thinking that there were many mechanical inefficiencies that needed to be corrected within a dense time period. Secondly, we found that excessive remote video analysis can lead to a more internal focus of attention, which can be detrimental to performance if not strategically implemented.

The constraints now put in place regarding video allow our trainers to focus primarily on programming while still receiving enough information on a weekly basis to assure that everything looks good and that movement quality is still at expected levels.
