Tagging Data

Whenever you transfer throws from your sensor, you have the opportunity to tag each throw. A tag can be anything that allows you to determine what type of throw it was (Practice, Training, Game, etc.). Tagging throws allows for better workload estimation when simulating data, better clarity when viewing trends over time, and augments many of the analytical tools available on motusDASH (See: Subscribing to motusDASH).

Whenever you see the TAG button, you can tap on it to assign a tag. For singular throws, you can apply a single tag. motusQB includes a number of common tags and subtags, but you can also create your own custom tags. At the bottom of each tag list, tap + Add Option to create your own custom tag. Your tags can be broken down into as many levels as you like.

For groups of events -- such as during a large data sync (See: Syncing Your motusQB Sensor Data) or Roster Transfer (See: Syncing Team Data as a Coach (Roster Transfer)) -- you can apply a single tag to the entire group of throws, or you can apply a Tag Sequence. A Tag Sequence allows you to define an order of tags to apply to incoming throws. For example, you could create a Tag Sequence that consists of 10 1on1 training throws, followed by 10 RVA training throws, followed by 5 4on3 RDZ practice throws, followed by 20 Pregame throws. As the data is transferred from the sensor, each throw is assigned a tag in order based on your Tag Sequence.
